Interim Chief Financial Officer

Cordia Resources by Cherry Bekaert is partnered with a leading provider of comprehensive petroleum and EV fueling solutions, specializing in both recurring maintenance and long-term project solutions. They are seeking an experienced Interim CFO to join their team and address critical challenges within their ERP environment, following the implementation of Intacct and BuildOps across multiple legal entities. This role requires a strategic leader who can enhance financial performance analysis and drive improvements in project management and revenue recognition processes.

Title: Interim Chief Financial Officer

Location: Long Island, NY (4 days on-site)

Hourly Rate: Market Rate

Job Type: Interim (3 months)

Key Responsibilities:

• Collaborate closely with the accounting team to identify and resolve ERP issues, ensuring accurate financial reporting at both the legal entity and consolidated levels.
• Provide insightful analysis of financial trends, variances, and budget comparisons to support informed decision-making.
• Lead efforts to correct and optimize the current ERP system implementation, leveraging expertise in major system implementations and cleanups.
• Manage and oversee cost accounting processes, with a strong emphasis on percentage of completion revenue recognition.
• Utilize strong project management skills to guide the team through a cleanup effort.
• Support parallel efforts for permanent CFO placement, ensuring seamless transition and continuity.

Qualifications:

• Proven ability to maintain focus on strategic objectives while managing detailed tasks.
• Extensive experience in cost accounting and percentage of completion methodologies.
• Familiarity with Intacct and BuildOps is beneficial, though major system implementation experience is essential.
• Previous experience in a Private Equity environment is advantageous.
• Willingness to work in-office in Long Island, NY, 4 days a week.
