Job Opportunity: Accounting Manager/Controller

Position Overview:
We are seeking a skilled Accounting Manager/Controller to join a dynamic engineering firm located in Prospect, KY. This is a hands-on role where you will work closely with the current CFO to manage the month-end close, record general journal entries, perform cash and balance sheet reconciliations, produce financial reports, and provide financial analysis. This role is ideal for someone who has previously been responsible for closing the books and is comfortable working independently.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage and execute month-end close processes.
- Record general journal entries.
- Perform cash and balance sheet reconciliations.
- Produce comprehensive financial reports.
- Conduct financial analysis to support business decision-making.
Requirements:
- Experience with Deltek Vision software is highly preferred, but not required.
- Proven track record of successfully closing the books.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively with the CFO.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
Work Schedule:
This position offers a hybrid work model, with the expectation of being in the office 3-4 days per week.
Compensation:
$50-$55 per hour (potentially higher for the right candidate).
Duration:
This is a temporary 2-3 month project, as the firm is in the process of hiring a permanent Accounting Manager based in Pennsylvania.
