Cordax provides innovative formation evaluation solutions to the global oil and gas industry, allowing our customers to optimize the producibility of their wells. Logging While Tripping (LWT) utilizes memory based logging tools deployed in specialized drill collars acquiring data during pipe tripping operations.
Position: LWT Field Operator
The LWT Field Operator position is a critical part of Datalog LWT Inc formation evaluation team, a wholly owned subsidiary of Cordax Evaluation Technologies.
Reporting to the Field Engineer, working as part of a two-person team, the Field Operator deploys the LWT equipment as part of the drilling process and ensures accurate logging data is acquired. This Oklahoma based position requires field deployments to projects primarily in Oklahoma but also other areas of the continental U.S. There are also opportunities for international assignments. The successful candidate must be available for and eligible to travel to client sites.

Responsiblities
- Adheres to Cordax strict code of conduct and HSE procedures
- Achieve awareness of wireline operations technical skills and practical applications under direction from Wireline Supervisors and operators including LWT system, rig-up and rig-down of collars and down hole equipment, disassembly of tools and post-job on-site equipment testing
- Checking LWT equipment at client jobsite and assembling tools
- Performing rig-up procedures and installations at client jobsites
- Performing safe operations with sling-loads
- Performing pre-job preparation of pump down equipment, Cordax collars, or equipment on combined service jobs and ensuring completion of pre-job logistics
- Attending to post-job shop responsibilities, including cleaning, servicing and labeling equipment, post-job office equipment testing and accurate and timely submission of post-job paperwork and related files
- Preparing and maintaining documentation for client jobs, including job tickets, daily reporting, end-of-well reports and all applicable administrative paperwork
- Performing general shop duties for tools and equipment, including picking up deliveries of parts and equipment and washing wireline units
- Comply with all client safety and training requirements and providing corresponding documentation, including jobsite awareness forms and site work permits
- Prepares compliance documents that meet or exceed government regulations and company requirements
Experience / Requirements
- Driving a company vehicle is required for this position including the requirement to obtain and maintain a CDL drivers license and meet Cordax insurer's eligibility requirements for insurance coverage while driving
- Legally entitled to work in the U.S. with eligibility for travel outside of U.S.
- Proficient in spoken and written English.
- Past technical experience in open hole wireline logging, MWD, mudlogging, or other petroleum industry experience considered an asset
- Past experience working in remote locals for extended periods of time an asset
- Successful candidate will be required to pass a pre-employment fitness for work test. Employees are required to be fit for duties and free of impairment while at work
- Up to date safety training courses an asset (H2S, First Aid, CPR)
- This is an Oklahoma City, OK based position that requires regular travel to field sites for the performance of the work with non-field days spent in the shop facility maintaining equipment
- Able to work independently with little or no supervision for extended periods of time in remote areas
- Potential for working in high or low ambient temperatures
Education
- Strong field level experience will be considered in lieu of formal technical education
- Cordax provides training on tools and equipment through internal and external training
