In this role, you will support our Operations Team by providing internal and external mortgage loan processing assistance, helping to ensure accuracy, efficiency, and full compliance throughout every stage of the process.
As a Mortgage Operations Assistant, you will be responsible for various tasks related to first, second mortgage, home equity, and loan origination and servicing. Attention to detail, strong critical thinking skills and the ability to multi-task are essential to this position. The right candidate will have the ability to work effectively and accurately in a deadline-orientated environment, have excellent verbal and written communication skills and strong organizational skills. Knowledge of Windows environment and proficient computer skills are also necessary.

Responsibilities
- Perform compliance analysis of new mortgage loan files to assure complete documentation
- Process and service mortgages sold on the secondary market. This includes filing reports, balancing GLs and ensuring document retention as needed.
- Provide problem resolution and research support to other members of the staff by providing information to handle related member inquiries thoroughly and professionally
- Process mortgage-servicing document inquiries regarding homeowners insurance, adjustable-rate mortgage rate changes, property taxes, and escrow analysis generation
- Handle mortgage servicing areas of paying and tracking homeowners insurance and processing adjustable rate mortgage rate changes, send appropriate letters notifying members of the change in rate, pay property taxes, conduct escrow analysis addressing member inquiries.
