We are seeking an experienced Structural Revit Modeler and AutoCAD drafter for our Hillsboro office who will work with a competent multi-disciplinary team of peers with a wide range of experience levels.
Key Responsibilities
This is a mid-level position for applicants with experience in creating Revit models and performing AutoCAD for the creation of construction documents. We are looking for candidates with the following experience:
- Understand and model steel structural systems ranging from simple to complex for industrial and semiconductor facilities. Focus is on equipment support and seismic design, including equipment anchorage, pipe/ductwork/conduit supports, access platform and stairway designs, and analysis of existing structures.
- Revit family creation.
- Integrating 3D scans into Revit models.
- Modeling process, mechanical, electrical, structural, and related systems.
- Publishing construction drawings.
- Performing clash detection and coordinating models in Navisworks.
- AutoCAD drafting when required.
- Coordination with engineering team members in mechanical, electrical, structural, and other disciplines.
- Interdisciplinary routing coordination, including clash detection and mitigation.
- Understanding of typical utility routing strategies, installation spatial requirements, and typical system components and devices.
- Excellent communication skills and team players.
- Highly organized.
- Ability to learn quickly and grasp new concepts.
- Dedication and commitment, including punctuality and the willingness to do what it takes to get the job done.
- Ability to balance multiple priorities and meet deadlines.
- Familiarity with semiconductor facility modeling is a plus.
- Familiarity with plumbing, process piping, and HVAC systems.
- Experience with interpreting pipe stress analysis reports.
- Participation in internal review meetings to discuss design strategy and progress.
- Familiar with common structural materials (particularly steel) and material-specific codes such as ACI and AISC.
- Associate of Science in AutoCAD and modeling technology (or equivalent)
- 3 years of Revit modeling experience.
- 3 years of structural design experience.
- Experience with advanced technology and industrial clients is preferred.
