Corbett Summer Academy Teachers - Multiple positions grades K-5
Reports To: Summer Academy Coordinator/Superintendent
Salary: Extra duty at unit member’s hourly rate
This is a temporary position for Summer School. Dates, hours, and site locations to be determined. Four days per week. (There is flexibility to split assignment between two educators)

July 13, 2026 - August 13, 2026

July 20, 2026 - August 6, 2026

Job Summary:
Provide instruction and supervision for a diverse group of students by creating a positive and respectful learning environment. Deliver literacy, math, and enrichment activities designed to improve academic achievement and extend student learning for individuals of varying backgrounds, abilities, and developmental levels. Foster an engaging, camp-like culture that intentionally integrates both academic and social-emotional learning experiences.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Establish and maintain a safe, positive, and inclusive learning environment for all students.
- Create a fun and positive “camp” culture where relationships are cultivated and students feel valued.
- Develop hands-on/place-based activities and lessons that encourage student creativity and self-expression while building reading, writing, and math skills.
- Provide direct instruction in literacy, mathematics, and/or designated enrichment areas aligned to program goals.
- Differentiate instruction to meet the academic, behavioral, language, and developmental needs of diverse learners.
- Implement evidence-based instructional strategies designed to accelerate student learning and skill development.
- Monitor student progress and adjust instruction based on formative assessment data and student needs.
- Supervise students during instructional and non-instructional times, including transitions, meals, recess, field trips, and enrichment activities.
- Collaborate with program staff, instructional assistants, specialists, and administrators to support student success and program implementation.
- Participate in required staff meetings, training sessions, and program planning activities.
- Prepare instructional materials and maintain organized learning spaces.
- Follow District policies, procedures, and safety protocols at all times.
- Support equitable access and participation for all students regardless of background, identity, language, or ability level.
Education and/or Experience: Oregon teaching license is required.
