Job Overview
We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Certified Operator to join our dynamic manufacturing team. In this role, you will be responsible for operating, monitoring, and maintaining a variety of complex machinery and equipment within our production facility. Your expertise will ensure that manufacturing processes run smoothly, efficiently, and safely, contributing to the delivery of high-quality products. Duties
- Operate advanced machinery such as CNC milling machines, CNC lathes, stamping presses, flexo presses, and press brake machines with precision and attention to detail.
- Program, set up, and troubleshoot CNC equipment using CAM programming and CAD software to optimize manufacturing processes.
- Read and interpret detailed blueprints, technical drawings, GD&T (Geometric Dimensioning & Tolerancing), and materials specifications to ensure accurate fabrication.
- Utilize programmable logic controllers (PLCs) and Fanuc systems to automate machine functions and improve production efficiency.
- Conduct quality control inspections using precision measuring instruments such as calipers, micrometers, and other tools to verify product specifications.
- Handle materials safely using forklifts and other materials handling equipment while adhering to safety protocols.
- Perform routine maintenance on machinery, identify potential issues early, and coordinate repairs or adjustments as needed.
- Support assembly line operations by utilizing hand tools, fabrication techniques, welding skills, and tooling expertise.
- Maintain accurate documentation of production activities, machine settings, inspections, and quality checks for compliance purposes.
Requirements
- Proven experience operating CNC machines (including CNC milling machines and CNC lathes) in a manufacturing or factory setting.
- Strong knowledge of mechanical systems, fabrication processes, tooling, and machining techniques.
- Proficiency with CAD (Computer-Aided Design), CAM (Computer-Aided Manufacturing), SolidWorks or similar software for programming and design review.
- Familiarity with Fanuc controls, PLC programming, blueprint reading, GD&T standards, and quality control procedures.
- Ability to operate forklifts safely; forklift certification is preferred but not mandatory.
- Experience with stamping presses, flexo presses or similar manufacturing equipment is a plus.
- Skilled in the use of precision measuring instruments such as calipers and micrometers for quality assurance.
- Basic math skills necessary for measurements, calculations, and troubleshooting during production processes.
- Strong mechanical aptitude combined with factory experience in a fast-paced environment.
- Excellent communication skills to collaborate effectively with team members across assembly lines and fabrication areas.
