What are the responsibilities and job description for the Professor of Clinical Mental Health Counseling position at Corban University?
UNIVERSITY MISSION: To educate Christians who will make a difference in the world for Jesus Christ.
SUMMARY: Corban University’s CACREP accredited Clinical Mental Health Counseling program is seeking a full-time or part-time professor to teach in our hybrid program.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
- Teaching in-person and online courses in clinical mental health counseling.
- Academic advising
- Curriculum and program development
- Possible assisting with student supervision at our partnership clinics.
- University and departmental committee work
- Possible additional administrative responsibilities
- Perform other duties as assigned.
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES:
- Familiarity with CACREP standards.
- Willingness to invest self in the development of graduate students.
- Values collaboration, support, and teamwork.
- Commitment to the integration of biblical principles within the discipline of counseling.
QUALIFICATIONS AND REQUIREMENTS
- Applicants with Ph.D. in Counselor Education and Supervision from CACREP accredited institution will be given priority.
- Applicants with related doctoral degrees and relevant teaching experience may be considered.
- ABD applicants may be considered.
- Licensed in Counseling, Marriage and Family therapy or related field.
- Experience supervising master’s level students. Prefer applicants who have taking (or are willing to take) Oregon’s 30 hours supervision training.

EXPERIENCE:
- Candidates should possess experience teaching at a college level.
- Candidates should possess clinical experience in counseling and supervision.
- Candidates should demonstrate leadership skills and active participation in professional organizations.
