SUMMARY: The Part-Time Homeschool & Dual Credit Coordinator supports Corban University’s mission by cultivating meaningful relationships with homeschool and dual credit communities, while also managing outreach and logistics for pre-college initiatives. This dynamic role blends recruitment, events, advising, and administrative oversight—ensuring students and families feel welcomed, informed, and supported in their college journey.

 

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

HOMESCHOOL ENGAGEMENT (55%)

  • Serve as Corban’s primary point of contact for homeschool families and networks across the region.
  • Plan and lead Corban-hosted homeschool events on campus—providing value-driven, informative programming for students and parents.
  • Attend and represent Corban at regional homeschool fairs, conferences, and community events (3–5 annually).
  • Develop and maintain a Homeschool College & Career Resource Center for families in the Willamette Valley.
  • Teach or coordinate a College & Career Readiness course at local homeschool co-ops or cohorts.
  • Advise families and students on admissions, dual credit, Corban Academy, and financial aid options.
  • Regularly review and help shape marketing and web content targeted to homeschool communities to ensure clarity, accessibility, and mission alignment

 

DUAL CREDIT COORDINATOR (25%)

  • Lead recruitment efforts for new dual credit partner schools in the region, focusing on values-aligned relationships and program growth.
  • Maintain up-to-date policies, course lists, and administrative documentation related to dual credit.
  • Serve as the liaison between high school partners and Corban’s academic departments to manage approvals, payments, and course planning.
  • Provide clear, timely communication with high school educators, administrators, and families.
  • Support student and parent inquiries regarding dual credit eligibility, registration, and course transferability.

 

OTHER DUTIES (15%)

  • Act as the primary coordinator for Corban’s pre-college program, assisting with student/family interest, course registration, and onboarding.
  • Promote Corban Academy’s tutoring and enrichment offerings to homeschool and high school communities.
  • Help design and maintain a consistent calendar of course offerings, registration timelines, and family communication.
  • Collaborate with admissions, academics, and marketing to align pre-college messaging with broader enrollment strategy.

 

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES:  

  • Possess the desire and ability to work independently yet still recognize the need to communicate and work with other individuals and departments.
  • Must be able to work with other teams in the University, and rally others to accomplish tasks and projects critical to the institutional mission.
  • Must have a high level of skills with MS Office programs including MS Word and Excel.  Must also possess the understanding of student information systems and how they can be utilized to their fullest potential.
  • Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts and draw valid conclusions; interpret a variety of instructions, some technical in nature.
  • They must be solution oriented and desire to serve students, staff and faculty in a variety of ways.
  • A strong working knowledge of Corban academic and admissions policies.
  • Strong written and verbal communications skills. 
  • The individual must have the ability to respond professionally to common inquiries or complaints from students, parents, alumni, or members of the education and business community.

 

QUALIFICATIONS AND REQUIREMENTS: 

  • Bachelor’s degree preferred; associate degree or equivalent work experience required.
  • Experience in homeschool recruitment or homeschool education required. 
  • Experience with database systems and report generation.
  • Ability to collaborate across departments and with external stakeholders.
  • Evangelical Christian faith and lifestyle consistent with Corban University’s mission and values as described in the Statement of Faith.

 

WORKING CONDITIONS:   

  • Occasional evening and weekend work required. 
  • Some remote work available upon request. 
  • Some travel is required.
