Position Overview
We are seeking enthusiastic and dependable volunteers to support a special event at
the Capitol. This role is essential to ensuring a welcoming, organized, and
well-coordinated experience for all attendees.. Volunteers will assist with event setup,
guest services, safety support, and clean-up. There may also be opportunities to
assist with event planning and preparation in the days leading up to the event.
Key Responsibilities
Pre-Event:
- Attend planning meetings (virtual or in-person)
- Assist with organizing materials and supplies
- Help prepare signage, registration materials, and event packets
Day of Event Responsibilities:
- Assist with setup (tables, chairs, signage, materials, registration areas)
- Welcome and direct guests, speakers, and participants
- Support registration and check-in processes
- Provide general information and answer attendee questions
- Monitor event areas to help ensure safety and smooth flow of activities
- Assist speakers and program coordinators as needed
- Help manage transitions between indoor and outdoor programming
- Support accessibility needs of attendees
- Assist with breakdown and cleanup at the end of the event
Qualifications & Skills
- Must be available on March 25 between 7:00 AM – 5:00 PM

- Able to work independently and as part of a team
- Flexible and adaptable in a fast-paced environment

- Comfortable using smartphones for communication and coordination
- Ability to stand for extended periods and lift light to moderate materials (if
applicable)
