Role Overview
We are seeking a highly organized, process-driven IT Support & Operations Associate to join our team in McLean. This is an Intern-to-Hire opportunity designed for a recent college graduate or a senior-level student looking to launch a career in Federal Cybersecurity and IT Operations.
Working directly with the Director of facility security, you will play a critical role in our Cybersecurity Certification efforts. This position is a "deep dive" into the administrative and technical requirements of maintaining Authority to Operate (ATO) in a FedRAMP High environment. You will bridge the gap between technical infrastructure and the rigorous compliance standards required to protect national security data.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist in the administrative heavy lifting of cyber assessment processes. You will help gather evidence, track milestones, and ensure our systems meet the criteria for federal ATOs.
- Create and maintain clear SOPs (Standard Operating Procedures) and internal IT documentation that satisfy strict audit requirements.
- Support the Director with project tracking, IT asset management, and vendor coordination to ensure operational excellence.
- Identify and document technical workflows to ensure all IT systems and security procedures are replicable and audit-ready.
- Utilize foundational networking knowledge to assist in documenting network maps, hardware configurations, and IP schemas as they relate to security boundaries.
The Ideal Candidate
- Highly Organized with an "eye for detail" and can manage the administrative rigor required for federal certifications.
- You can translate complex technical processes into actionable written instructions.
- Basic understanding of networking and a strong interest in Cyber Compliance (NIST, FedRAMP, etc.).
- Due to our work with the Department of War and our FedRAMP High authorization, this position requires U.S. Citizenship.

Requirements
- Must be able to work a hybrid schedule with on-site presence in McLean, VA.
- Commitment to a part-time schedule (under 35 hours/week) for the initial 4-month duration
