In this role, you will be responsible for maintaining cleanliness and orderliness in guest rooms and public areas, as well as managing laundry services to ensure a welcoming environment for our guests. Your attention to detail and commitment to excellence will contribute significantly to the overall guest experience.
Responsibilities
Essential Duties & Responsibilities
- Perform thorough cleaning of guest rooms, including dusting, vacuuming, mopping, and sanitizing surfaces.
- Assist with stripping rooms and restocking housekeeping carts.
- Clean and stock linen closets and storage areas.
- Launder linens, towels, and other items using appropriate washing techniques.
- Maintain cleanliness in public areas such as lobbies, hallways, elevator and restrooms.
- Maintain cleanliness and orderliness of the guest laundry area.
- Inspect rooms after cleaning to ensure they meet quality standards before guests' arrival.
- Report any maintenance issues or safety hazards to management promptly.
- Assist with inventory management of cleaning supplies and laundry products.
- Clean and maintain meeting rooms, ensuring they're prepared for events.
- Ensure office areas are clean, organized and presentable for staff and management.
Qualifications
- Previous experience in housekeeping or laundry services, preferably in a hotel or hospitality setting.
- Knowledge of laundering techniques is a plus.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to follow instructions accurately.
- Excellent time management skills with the ability to prioritize tasks effectively.
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
- Must be able to stand, walk, bend, kneel, push, pull, and lift up to 35 pounds throughout an entire shift.
- Outgoing and friendly attitude with a commitment to excellent guest service.
