Summary: This position is responsible for ending the business day for the Property Management System and its modules. This includes preparing reports, auditing work of associates, and performing front desk duties.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Other duties may be assigned.
Audit desks clerk work for pricing and sales tax errors.
Ensure that trial is in balance by the close of each shift.
Prepare a summation of all house charges and all credit card vouchers accepted by the Lodge. The aggregate total is reconciled with the trial balance.
Handle guest check-ins and check-outs efficiently and in a friendly and professional manner.
Have knowledge of lodge property, lodge staff and lodge services with hours of operation.
Handle guest registration and room assignments, accommodating special requests whenever possible.
Know cash handling procedures.
Adheres to Lodge policies and procedures:
Attends work on time as scheduled and leaves work at scheduled time unless other arrangements have been made.
Follows Lodge grooming and dress standards.
Minimizes safety hazards by following all safety rules and procedures.
Performs all duties and responsibilities in a timely and efficient manner in accordance with established company policies and procedures to achieve the overall objectives of this position.
Maintains a favorable working relationship with all other Lodge associates to foster and promote a cooperative and harmonious working climate.
The Lodge functions seven (7) days a week, twenty-four (24) hours per day. All associates must realize this fact and be aware that it may be necessary to adjust their work schedule from an accustomed shift due to business demands.
