What are the responsibilities and job description for the Maintenance Mechanic/Evening Shift/Full Time position at Coral Gables Hospital?
Position Summary:
The Maintenance Repairman will perform simple repairs of task which normally would come under such crafts such as
plumbing, electricity, carpentry, mechanics, painting, plastering walls, etc.
Responsibilities:
Adjusts and makes small repairs on location of such items as furniture, office equipment, doors, faucets, drains, etc.
• Performs routine maintenance tasks (daily inspections, lubricate different mechanical equipment, etc.)
• Performs small repairs on electrical equipment (cord ends, connections replacing lights, single switches, etc).
• Assists in installing new equipment as directed.
• Performs a large variety of handyman duties.
• Construct or reconstructs specific pieces of equipment, stands, alterations, walls, etc., under direct supervision.
• Maintains equipment and tools in good condition.
• Follows hospital-wide and unit specific safety and infection control standards.
• Participates in continuing quality improvement to ensure continuous improvement of services provided.
• Relates and interacts well with others relative to their age specific, physical, and psychosocial needs.
• Performs other related duties as assigned
Education/Experience:
High School Diploma or equivalent
Technical Training preferred.
Minimum three (3) or more years of utilities and maintenance service experience.
Should have previous experience in building/hospital maintenance services.
