Job Title: Kindergarten Teacher

Reports to: Campus Principal

Location: In-Person, CASLV School Cadence – Henderson, NV

Position Type: Full-Time, 10-Month (2025-2026)

Position Summary

The Kindergarten Teacher at Coral Academy of Science Las Vegas is responsible for providing a nurturing and stimulating learning environment for our youngest learners. The teacher fosters social, emotional, and academic development while helping students develop foundational skills in literacy, numeracy, and social interaction. This role emphasizes differentiated instruction, strong classroom management, and collaboration with colleagues and families.

Key Responsibilities

• Create and implement engaging, developmentally appropriate lessons aligned to Nevada Academic Content Standards.
• Support student learning in literacy, math, science, social studies, and social-emotional development.
• Utilize various instructional strategies and classroom management techniques to promote a safe and supportive classroom environment.
• Monitor and assess student progress using formative and summative assessments.
• Provide timely and effective feedback to students and families on academic and behavioral progress.
• Foster positive relationships with students and parents through regular communication and family engagement activities.
• Participate in grade-level and school-wide planning, data teams, and professional learning communities.
• Maintain accurate student records and complete all required documentation in a timely manner.
• Support school events, activities, and initiatives that contribute to a positive school culture.

Qualifications

Required:

• Bachelor’s degree in Early Childhood Education, Elementary Education, or a related field.
• Valid Nevada teaching license with appropriate early childhood or elementary endorsement.
• Demonstrated understanding of early childhood development and pedagogy

Preferred:

• Two or more years of successful teaching experience in kindergarten or early primary grades.
• Training in phonics-based instruction, early math concepts, or behavior management.
• Experience in a charter or college-prep school environment.
• Bilingual or multilingual skills are a plus

Work Environment

This is an in-person role on a CASLV school campus. The work environment is a standard kindergarten school classroom. The role involves frequent interaction with young children and requires mobility, energy, and responsiveness.

This position requires:

• Prolonged periods of standing, walking, and speaking.
• Occasionally bending, kneeling, or sitting on the floor to work with students.
• Lifting or moving classroom materials up to 25 pounds.
• Regular use of classroom technology (e.g., computers, projectors).
• Maintaining a positive and engaging environment with frequent redirection and behavior management.
