We are seeking a results-driven Regional Sales Manager to grow Copperweld’s Residential Building Wire business across an assigned territory. This role will be responsible for developing and executing territory strategies that drive long-term sales performance, exceed sales and profit goals, and strengthen Copperweld’s brand presence in the market. Working closely with contractors, builders, distributors, inspectors, and internal cross-functional teams, this individual will drive product adoption, account conversion, and profitable growth. This position reports directly to the Director of Sales - West and will receive strategic direction, guidance, and approvals from that role. The territory for this Sales position will be Midwest/Plains area.

The territory for this Sales position will be Midwest/Plains area.
WHAT We Need You To Do.
- Meet and exceed product sales and profitability goals within the assigned territory.
- Develop the market by creating a strategic go-to-market plan for the assigned territory, including SWOT analysis, target accounts, and distribution strategy.
- Identify and execute conversion opportunities with Residential Electrical Contractor (REC) accounts throughout the territory.
- Develop and execute strategic initiatives to increase brand awareness and drive adoption of Copperweld products within targeted REC accounts.
- Prospect and develop accounts in a way that drives account conversion, sales growth, and a favorable impact on EBITDA.
- Develop a network map of inspector communities and Authorities Having Jurisdiction (AHJs) within the territory to identify areas of restriction or resistance.
- In partnership with Copperweld leadership, develop action plans to address restrictions and create favorable outcomes for Copperweld.
- Build industry awareness by attending local and regional trade shows, marketing events, and other industry functions.
- Where applicable, serve as a speaker and/or provide technical articles or content within industry communities to drive brand awareness, education, and product adoption.
- Identify, develop, and strengthen relationships with key distribution channels within the assigned territory.
- Drive sales and stocking programs with strategic distributor partners.
- Conduct lunch-and-learns and other educational forums at local and regional distributor locations to support product education and sales growth.
- Support and attend local distributor trade show opportunities, including open houses and similar events, as needed.
- Work cross-functionally across the organization to share best practices, increase collective knowledge, and exceed sales objectives.
- Stay current on applicable codes and regulations relevant to the residential electrical market.
- Maintain membership in trade organizations that drive brand awareness and support Copperweld’s sales goals.
- Serve as a brand ambassador within identified trade and industry communities.
- Collaborate with local manufacturers’ representatives, trade groups, and regulatory stakeholders to promote Copperweld and expand market awareness.
- Support product development efforts by assisting Sales and Marketing with marketing literature, website content, and technical/commercial presentations.
- Routinely update the Executive Team on territory performance and strategic initiatives by preparing materials, presenting progress, and ensuring required data is accurate and complete.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
- High school diploma or GED required; bachelor’s degree in Business, Business Administration, or a related field preferred.
- Experience working directly with electrical contractors or in an electrical contractor-facing role strongly preferred.
- Ability and willingness to travel up to 50% within the assigned territory to support customer meetings, distributor visits, trade events, and other business needs.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office; experience with Smartsheet and ERP systems strongly preferred.
- CRM experience required.
- Ability to develop regional marketing plans.
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to plan, prioritize, and work cross-functionally.
