We are seeking a motivated and skilled Excavator/Equipment Operator to join our dynamic construction team. In this role, you will be responsible for operating heavy machinery such as excavators, dozers, loaders, backhoes, graders, water trucks, and dump trucks to facilitate various construction projects. Your expertise will help ensure projects are completed safely, efficiently, and to the highest standards. Responsibilities
- Operate excavators and other heavy equipment including dozers, loaders, backhoes, graders, water trucks, and dump trucks with precision and safety in mind.
- Perform routine inspections and maintenance checks on machinery to ensure optimal performance and safety compliance.
- Assist with site preparation, grading, excavation, trenching, and material handling tasks across multiple project sites.
- Follow all safety protocols and construction site regulations to maintain a secure work environment for yourself and team members.
- Collaborate with project managers and crew members to coordinate equipment usage and project timelines effectively.
- Utilize technical knowledge of machinery such as Caterpillar equipment models to troubleshoot issues promptly.
- Support additional construction activities like horizontal drilling or paving as required by project scope.
Requirements
- Proven experience operating heavy construction equipment including excavators, dozers, loaders, backhoes, graders, water trucks, or dump trucks.
- Strong mechanical knowledge of construction machinery and ability to perform basic troubleshooting.
- Valid commercial driver’s license with experience in operating large vehicles such as dump trucks or tanker trucks is preferred.
- Demonstrated experience working on construction sites with an understanding of safety standards and protocols.
- Familiarity with equipment brands like Caterpillar or similar heavy machinery manufacturers.
- Ability to operate multiple types of equipment such as horizontal drills or graders based on project needs.
- Knowledge of construction processes including paving, water management, grading techniques, and site excavation. Pay: $24.85 - $29.92 per hour
