The Project Manager is responsible for planning, organizing, and driving successful execution of field service projects across Copperstate. This role ensures every job is prepared, staffed, supplied, scheduled, and profitable before the field team arrives on site.

The Project Manager partners closely with Team Leads and Field Technicians, allowing them to focus on craftsmanship and execution, while the Project Manager ensures the job runs smoothly from planning through completion.
This role is critical to maintaining quality, schedule reliability, customer satisfaction, and job profitability.
Key Responsibilities
1. Project Planning & Preparation
Ensure every job is properly prepared before field crews mobilize.
Responsibilities include:
- Review of job scope, quotes, and customer expectations
- Develop project plans and schedules
- Coordinate manpower assignments with operations leadership
- Identify tools, parts, and materials required for each job
- Coordinate with Purchasing to order long lead parts
- Confirm logistics, travel, and mobilization plans
- Ensure all job documentation is prepared and organized
Goal: No crew arrives on a job unprepared.
2. Job Coordination & Scheduling
- Work with Operations Manager to build & manage the field service schedule
- Coordinate technician travel and job sequencing
- Work with Operation Manager to balance manpower across projects
- Work with Operations Manager to adjust schedules when field conditions change (w/ Consultation of OP Manager)
- Communicate schedule updates to team leads and customers
Goal: Maintain efficient utilization of field teams and Ops Manager
3. Team Lead Support
The Project Manager supports and works with Field Leaders and Team Leads so they can focus on execution.
Responsibilities include:
- Review job plans with Team Leads before mobilization
- Ensure Team Leads have tools, drawings, parts, and documentation
- Provide logistical support while crews are in the field
- Remove obstacles that slow the field team down
- Maintain regular communication during projects
Goal: Enable Team Leads to perform at their highest level.
4. Customer Communication
The Project Manager supports and works with Sales
- Serve as primary operational contact for customers during projects
- Provide project updates and schedule coordination
- Manage change orders and scope adjustments
- Ensure customer expectations are clearly understood
Goal: Customers feel informed and confident in every project.
5. Project Tracking & Profitability
- Track job progress vs plan
- Monitor labor hours and material usage
- Identify risks to job profitability early
- Work with leadership to correct course when needed
- Ensure job documentation and closeout is completed
Goal: Deliver projects on time and within budget.
6. Post-Project Review
- Conduct job closeout reviews
- Capture lessons learned
- Improve future job planning processes
- Ensure final documentation is complete
Goal: Continuous improvement of project execution.

Required Skills & Experience
Preferred experience:
- Industrial mechanical service
- Rotating equipment repair
- Field service operations
- Construction or industrial project management
- Bachelor’s degree in construction management or similar
- 5-10 Years of related experience

Pay: $75,000.00 - $100,000.00 per year
