Copper River Seafoods, Inc.

PURPOSE

The Working Sanitaion Crew assists team members in successfully carrying out Right the First Time (RFT) cleaning objectives to ensure the production of safe and wholesome food.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES

This job description does not state or imply that the duties listed are the only dutiesand responsibilities assigned to this position. Employees holding this position will be required to perform any other job-related duties as requested by management.

Ø The Working Cleaning Crew performs sanitation, cleaning techniques on equipment safely.

Ø Inspects facility and work areas to meet or exceed cleanliness expectations.

Ø Determines action steps to avoid recurrence of nonconformances using basic Root Cause Analysis techniques. Measures and tracks improvements via established reporting tools.

Ø Leads by example by performing cleaning in accordance with established guidelines and specifications, and ensures equipment is operational for production runs.

Ø Prepares and handles sanitation chemicals and equipment.

Ø Communicates information as it relates to out-of-specification products, equipment, packaging materials, and/or raw materials to the Sanitation Lead or Production Supervisor.

Ø Learns about new chemicals provided by chemical vendor and incorporates newest cleaning innovations into the workflow.

Ø Work is generally independent and collaborative in nature.

Ø Reports to the Production Supervisor.

KNOWLEDGE AND CRITICAL SKILLS/EXPERTISE

Ø Working knowledge of food manufacturing cleaning chemicals chemistry and associated applications.

Ø Prefer High School diploma

Ø Proven problem solving, decision making, and project management skills are necessary for success.

SPECIAL TRAINING/SKILLS

Ø Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. Ability to write routine reports and correspondence.

Ø Must be fluent in English.

Ø Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS

Ø All requirements are subject to possible modification to reasonably accommodate individuals with a disability.

Ø This position requires the ability to sit, stand, walk, read, write, see, hear, communicate orally, reason, analyze data and handle objects.

ENVIRONMENTAL CONDITIONS

Ø Indoors in normal wet and dry food processing environment with exposure to excessive noise and temperature changes when on production floor.

Ø Frequent unscheduled interruptions.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS

Ø Mobility within all areas of the facility required.

Ø Personal protective equipment is required when on production floor. Personal protective equipment includes plant boots, hairnet, or beard (as applicable) and safety glasses. Additional protective equipment may be required based on unique or specific tasks.

MENTAL ACTIVITIES

Ø While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to read, speak, and understand English, and use customer service skills. The employee is frequently required to use interpersonal and teamwork skills.

SALARY: $17.00 per Hour
