Duties

  • Assist veterinarians during examinations, surgeries, and diagnostic procedures using veterinary anesthesia monitoring and critical care techniques.
  • Perform animal restraint, handling, and husbandry to ensure safety for both animals and staff.
  • Conduct laboratory work including phlebotomy, diagnostic radiology, and sample processing to aid in accurate diagnosis.
  • Operate medical equipment such as X-ray machines and laboratory analyzers while maintaining aseptic techniques.
  • Administer medications, vaccines, and fluids via IV insertion or vascular access with precision and care.
  • Maintain detailed records using veterinary software and ensure compliance with veterinary terminology and procedures.Experience
  • Demonstrated veterinary technician experience with knowledge of animal physiology, anatomy, and veterinary surgical assistance.
  • Familiarity with dental terminology, anesthesia protocols (including general anesthesia), and emergency medicine procedures.
  • Laboratory experience including phlebotomy, radiology diagnostics, and laboratory work is preferred.
  • Experience working with diverse animals such as dogs, cats, and other small or exotic animals is a plus.

Pay: $15.00 - $20.00 per hour

Expected hours: 36.0 – 40.0 per week
