Duties
- Assist customers with product selections, answer questions, and provide detailed product demos to showcase features and benefits
- Operate POS (Point of Sale) systems accurately for transactions including cash handling and credit card processing
- Upsell merchandise by recommending complementary products to enhance customer satisfaction and increase sales
- Maintain attractive merchandising displays and ensure shelves are stocked and organized according to company standards
- Conduct stock replenishment, inventory counts, and assist with merchandise stocking to keep the store well-supplied
- Provide excellent customer service by addressing inquiries via phone etiquette and in person, ensuring a positive shopping experience
- Support supervising team members when needed, helping to oversee daily operations and maintain store standards
Requirements
- Previous retail sales experience preferred, especially in grocery or specialty stores
- Strong communication skills in English; bilingual abilities are a plus for serving diverse customers
- Familiarity with POS systems, cash handling, and basic math for transactions and inventory management
- Experience with merchandising, product demos, upselling techniques, and stock organization
- Ability to demonstrate excellent phone etiquette and customer service skills in a fast-paced environment
- Supervising experience is advantageous but not mandatory; leadership qualities are valued
- Must be dependable, adaptable, and eager to learn about our products and store procedures
