Responsibilities
- Greet guests warmly and provide attentive, friendly service throughout their dining experience
- Take accurate food and beverage orders using POS systems such as Toast POS, ensuring timely delivery
- Upsell menu items and specials to enhance guest satisfaction and increase sales opportunities
- Handle food and beverage transactions accurately, including cash handling and cashiering duties
- Maintain cleanliness and sanitation standards in accordance with food safety regulations, including proper food handling and sanitation practices
- Assist with food preparation, bussing tables, and supporting kitchen staff when needed to ensure smooth operations
- Use reservation management tools like OpenTable to manage bookings efficiently and optimize seating arrangements
Qualifications
- Previous restaurant or food service experience, especially in fine dining or nightclub settings, is highly valued
- Strong knowledge of POS systems such as Toast POS; familiarity with OpenTable is a plus
- Excellent customer service skills with a focus on guest relations and guest services
- Ability to manage time effectively in a fast-paced environment while multitasking seamlessly
- Basic math skills for cash handling, billing, and order accuracy
- Knowledge of food safety standards, sanitation procedures, and proper food handling techniques
- Experience with serving, bussing tables, or host/hostess roles enhances your ability to excel in this position
- Culinary or kitchen experience is advantageous for understanding menu items and food preparation processes
