Role Description
This full-time, Entry Level Network Cabling Technician position is based in Grand Rapids, MI. Responsibilities include installing, testing, and troubleshooting Category 6/6A data cabling and fiber optic cabling. The technician will assist in sound masking and other low-voltage infrastructure installations. Other duties include maintaining tools, adhering to safety protocols, and working closely with project teams and customers to ensure installation quality and timelines are met.
Qualifications
- Willingness to learn network cabling, fiber optic and sound masking system installation
- Familiarity with hand tools and testing devices.
- Ability to work in a team setting with a strong focus on communication and collaboration
- Willingness to work on-site and safely in a construction environment
- Comfortable climbing ladders and working on lifts
- Proactive attitude and a commitment to learning new skills
- High school diploma or equivalent; technical certifications are a plus
- Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation
