Copper Creek Landscaping is seeking a Landscape Maintenance Technician to join our landscape care team. This position focuses on maintaining high-end residential landscapes across the Brainerd Lakes Area. This position is a seasonal position.
Unlike many landscape companies, Copper Creek does not provide mowing services. Our maintenance work focuses on plant health, landscape beds, seasonal flowers, and maintaining beautiful outdoor spaces.
This is a great position for someone who enjoys working outdoors and takes pride in maintaining landscapes at a high level.
Position Summary
The Landscape Maintenance Technician works as part of a team responsible for maintaining landscape beds, planting seasonal flowers, and caring for perennials and plantings. This position is a seasonal based position.
This role focuses on:
- Annual flower planting and seasonal displays
- Perennial garden care
- Landscape bed weeding and maintenance
- Fertilization and plant health
- Maintaining clean and attractive landscape beds
- Freshen mulched areas
- Spring and fall readiness and cutbacks
Technicians work under the direction of the Maintenance Foreman or Crew Leader and help ensure all work meets Copper Creek quality standards.
Core Responsibilities
Landscape Bed Maintenance
- Hand weed landscape beds and planting areas
- Maintain clean bed edges and remove debris
- Deadhead and prune perennials and shrubs
- Maintain overall landscape presentation
Plant Care
- Assist with planting annual flowers and perennial plants
- Fertilize landscape beds and plantings
- Monitor plant health and report issues to foreman
- Water plants and container plantings when needed
Seasonal Planting
- Install annual flower displays in landscape beds and planters
- Assist with perennial plant installations
- Maintain flower beds throughout the growing season
Property Care
- Maintain clean job sites and respect client properties
- Ensure landscape beds look clean and well maintained
- Follow Copper Creek quality standards for each property
- Mulching landscapes as needed
Equipment & Tools
- Use landscape tools safely and properly
- Keep tools clean and organized
- Assist with loading and unloading materials and plants
Qualifications
Preferred experience includes:
- Landscape or gardening experience (preferred but not required)
- Interest in plants, flowers, and horticulture
- Ability to work outdoors in varying weather conditions
- Strong work ethic and attention to detail
- Ability to work as part of a team

- Physical activity including planting, weeding, and lifting materials
