CO-CONSTRUCTION SUPERVISOR
Looking for a rewarding job where you will make life-changing differences in people's lives? Copper Country Habitat for Humanity is now looking for a hands-on Co-Construction Supervisor.
Part-time hourly. Hours per week can vary greatly. Some weeks may be 40 hours, and others may be 15. Hours depend on factors like the weather and the task at hand, such as a home build, a handicap ramp, or a critical repair. Pay will be based on verifiable experience.
OBJECTIVE:
Represent, express, and support the mission and vision of Habitat for Humanity.
You will help our current Construction Supervisor from start to finish on single-family homes, ramps, and repairs, working with Habitat staff, subcontractors, and volunteer labor.
TECHNICAL SKILLS:
➢ Minimum one year of experience in home construction.
➢ Ability to multitask, give, and take direction.
➢ Strong organizational and advanced planning skills. Ability to effectively manage time and resources.
LEADERSHIP SKILLS:
➢ Inspired to work with diverse groups of people, including age, abilities, race, gender, and socio-economic backgrounds.
➢ Confidence in decision-making and problem-solving.
➢ Ability to analyze and react to changing construction situations and to adjust and delegate accordingly.
➢ Experience in conflict resolution and able to demonstrate maturity when dealing with staff, subcontractors, and volunteer issues.
➢ Integrity and reliability.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
Construction:
1. Assure that all construction conforms to applicable codes and laws of local government and that all required inspections are complete.
2. Ensure quality control and standardization through adherence to HFH-approved building methods.
3. Ensure the safety of the site by enforcing accepted safety policies.
4. Maintain relationships with suppliers, contractors, skilled trades/volunteers, neighbors, and other persons associated with the build site.
5. Administer first aid and report any accident.
Pay: $18.00 - $23.00 per hour
