Coppell Chess Club Academy is one of the leading chess training centers in the Dallas–Fort Worth area. We are dedicated to helping students of all ages and skill levels improve their chess abilities, from beginners to advanced tournament players.
Position Summary
We are seeking passionate and knowledgeable in-person chess coaches to join our academy. Coaches will teach structured classes at our Coppell location, guide students in skill development, and help prepare them for tournaments.
Responsibilities
- Teach chess lessons to students ranging from beginner to advanced levels.
- Provide group instruction and individual guidance in academy classes.
- Analyze games and explain strategies, openings, tactics, and endgames.
- Encourage discipline, focus, and sportsmanship among students.
- Assist with practice tournaments, game reviews, and student progress tracking.
- Communicate with parents and academy directors regarding student progress.
Qualifications
- Strong knowledge of chess (USCF rating preferred; tournament experience a plus).
- Prior teaching or coaching experience is preferred but not required.
- Ability to explain chess concepts clearly and adapt to different student levels.
- Professional, reliable, and punctual.
- Enthusiasm for working with children and young players.
Schedule & Compensation
- Classes held at Coppell Chess Club Academy (weeknights and weekends).
- Flexible part-time schedule.
