JOB STATEMENT/SUMMARY
The pharmacy technician assists in expeditiously filling patient prescriptions within federal, state, and local guidelines.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS & RESPONSIBILITIES OF THE POSITION
- Assists in filling prescriptions.
- Assists patients with the purchase of prescriptions.
- Ensures shelves, storage areas, etc. are clean and neat.
- Assists in processing drug orders and stocking shelves.
- Answers telephone calls and communicates with patients regarding telephone orders.
- Dispenses medications according to all federal, state, and local laws.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
