What are the responsibilities and job description for the Enrollment Services Clerk position at COPIAH LINCOLN COMMUNITY COLLEGE?
SUMMARY: The Enrollment Services Clerk is responsible to the Director of Enrollment Services/Director of Students Services for the functions as indicated in the duties and responsibilities given below.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
1. Carries out routine responsibilities, which involve communication skills, such as answering the telephone, taking and relaying messages, etc.
2. Assist with the workflow so that all facets related to the admissions office work together smoothly.
3. Enters and maintains student applications and student information updates.
4. Assists with campus meetings and functions, including Orientation, Registration, and Graduation.
5. Processes transcript request, information request, and admissions office outgoing mail.
6. Assists in opening and closing the admission office.
7. Handles other detailed office work such as word processing.
8. Composes replies to the correspondence of a general nature.
9. Keeps up to date and knowledgeable about changes in office procedures, letter & memo format, and information management.
10. Assists the Student Records Manager in creating and maintaining student records.
11. Works extensively in the student information system software on various tasks.
12. Assists in the imaging and/or filing process of hard copy student records.
13. Performs other duties as assigned.
MINIMUM JOB REQUIREMENTS:
- High School Diploma/GED
- Two years of full-time office work experience
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office Products
- Bookkeeping experience
- Organizational Skills
- Written and oral communication skills
- Interpersonal skills
PREFERRED JOB REQUIREMENTS:
- Associate’s Degree
- Previous work experience in an admissions office
- Previous post-secondary work experience
