Work You’ll Do
- Design and develop equipment for material handling, weighing, and feeding applications
- Create 3D models, design fabrication drawings, and specifications for customer, manufacturing, and vendor utilization.
- Coordinate with cross-functional teams, including manufacturing and purchasing.
- Implement design changes and modifications to enhance productivity and reduce waste.
- Manage multiple projects simultaneously, ensuring timely completion within budget constraints.
- Ensure compliance with industry standards and safety regulations.
- Participate in continuous improvement initiatives and contribute innovative ideas to enhance production capabilities.
- The role involves periodic visits to the onsite manufacturing facility with exposure to machinery and equipment.
- This position may require occasional travel to other company-owned manufacturing sites, supplier facilities, or customer locations.
- Proficiency in 3D CAD software (SolidWorks or Inventor preferred).
- Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field.
- Strong understanding of mechanical design principles, materials, and manufacturing processes.
- Excellent problem-solving abilities and attention to detail.
- Knowledge of lean manufacturing principles is a plus.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills to convey technical information clearly.
- Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment and interact with various stakeholders.
- Previous product design experience in a manufacturing environment. Preferred.
