Duties
- Secure the premises by locking doors, and securing all entry points at the end of each shift
- Conduct thorough cleaning of the cafe, including tables, counters, kitchen areas, and restrooms to ensure a spotless environment for the next day
- Restock supplies such as napkins, utensils, and condiments in preparation for opening shifts
- Verify that all equipment is turned off or properly maintained before leaving the premises
- Complete closing reports detailing sales, inventory levels, and any maintenance issues encountered during your shift
- Monitor safety protocols by inspecting for potential hazards or maintenance needs and reporting them promptly
- Assist with cash reconciliation and secure cash registers according to company procedures
- Ensure all health and safety standards are strictly followed throughout the closing process
Requirements
- Previous experience in hospitality or food service is preferred but not mandatory; a positive attitude and willingness to learn are essential
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision while maintaining high standards of cleanliness and safety
- Strong attention to detail with excellent organizational skills
- Physical stamina to stand for extended periods, lift moderate loads, and perform cleaning duties effectively
- Reliable transportation to arrive on time for scheduled shifts
- Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, or holidays as needed
- Knowledge of basic safety procedures and sanitation standards is a plus
