Litigation Paralegal (Mid to Senior Level)
Established mid-sized law firm in Santa Ana seeks a full-time, experienced Litigation Paralegal to join our team. We are seeking a highly skilled, client-facing paralegal with strong litigation experience who can manage advanced case work with minimal supervision.
The successful candidate will have over 3 years of litigation experience and be well versed in all phases of litigation from inception through trial.
Primary Responsibilities
Client Interaction & Case Administration
- Meet with clients to gather information and provide case updates
- Manage active litigation matters with minimal supervision
- Maintain clear case timelines and ensure all deadlines are met
- Communicate with opposing counsel and court personnel as needed
Legal Drafting & Court Filings
- Draft pleadings, motions, discovery, and meet and confer correspondence
- Prepare and file documents in state and federal courts
- Prepare subpoenas and coordinate depositions
Case Organization & Litigation Management
- Organize and maintain litigation files
- Manage discovery, including propounding and responding to written discovery
- Review and organize document productions
- Prepare deposition summaries and case chronologies
Trial Preparation & Advanced Case Work
- Prepare trial binders, exhibits, and witness files
- Assist attorneys with trial preparation and courtroom support
- Support case strategy development and documentation
Leadership & Contribution
- Assist in developing internal litigation procedures and workflows
- Take ownership of complex matters with limited attorney oversight
Qualifications
- Minimum 3 years of litigation experience
- Strong knowledge of California court rules and e-filing procedures
- Excellent drafting, organizational, and communication skills
- Ability to manage multiple cases and meet strict deadlines
- Strong client-facing professionalism
Compensation
Salary range: $85,000 to $125,000 depending on experience, performance, and demonstrated leadership ability.
