Structural Engineer – Residential Foundation & Framing Design

Our structural engineering firm is seeking a motivated candidate with either a Professional Engineer (PE) license or an Engineer in Training (EIT) certification to assist in residential foundation and framing designs. We primarily utilize AutoCAD and provide the best computers and software available, ensuring you have the tools needed to succeed. Key Responsibilities:
- Assist in the design of residential foundation and framing structures
- Draft and modify plans using AutoCAD
- Read and interpret building plans
- Perform structural calculations and ensure compliance with industry standards
- Collaborate with team members to meet project deadlines
- Maintain effective communication with clients and colleagues
Qualifications:
- Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering with emphasis in structural engineering
- Professional Engineer (PE) License in the State of Texas or Engineer-in-Training (EIT) Certification
- Familiarity with building codes and regulations
- Knowledge of concrete, steel, light-gauge metal, wood, and masonry materials
- Must be proficient in AutoCAD
- Must have residential design and construction knowledge
- Strong math skills and spatial reasoning ability
- Ability to read and analyze building plans
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines
- Willingness to work overtime when needed
