We're experiencing exciting growth, scaling from one project start per year to one per quarter across our separate Multifamily/Light Commercial and SFR divisions.
The Role
We're seeking a Multifamily Project Manager to simultaneously manage 2-3 projects, primarily $25-45M garden-style apartment complexes (3-4 stories) and light commercial strip centers. You'll report to our MF Director of Operations and work closely with a General Superintendent, supported by a robust team including 3 Superintendents, a Project Engineer, 3 Assistant Superintendents, and our accounting/finance team.
Key Responsibilities
• Oversee all phases of multifamily and light commercial projects from preconstruction through completion
• Manage project schedules, budgets, change orders, and subcontractor coordination using Procore
• Ensure quality control, safety compliance, and adherence to plans and specifications
• Participate and/or lead the buy-out process
• Collaborate with design teams, permitting agencies, and municipal authorities
• Monitor cash flow, procurement, and cost control measures using Excel and project management tools
• Review and markup drawings using Bluebeam and coordinate document revisions
• Manage vendor and subcontractor relationships through detailed contract negotiations and by creating exact scopes of work
• Build strong relationships with field personnel, subcontractors, and team members
What We're Looking For
• 3-7 years of project management experience in multifamily or commercial construction (Assistant Project Managers ready to step up are encouraged to apply)
• Proven ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously
• Strong proficiency in Procore, Excel, Bluebeam, and Microsoft Office Suite
• Understanding of wood frame garden-style apartment or similar construction methods
• Excellent communication and relationship-building skills
• Self-motivated problem-solver who adapts well to different environments
• Team player who values collaboration over rigid processes
• Construction management degree preferred, but we prioritize attitude, work ethic, and technical skills
• Valid driver's license and ability to travel between project sites
