he Sr. Processor will be called upon and responsible for resolving complex issues, service complaints, and order/result problems alongside the Processor lead and Support Service Supervisor.

- Monday-Friday - 10:00am-6:30pm with rotating Saturdays

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Provides customer service to patients and physicians, including answering phone calls, looking up results, faxing/printing lab results, Mitel paging system, and resolving problems.
- Maintains patient confidentiality.
- Assists with receiving, logging, sorting, counting, and processing specimens; prepares specimens for technical testing; preserves sample integrity and creates split samples when appropriate. Retrieves samples for add-on testing.
- Maintains/assists with supply ordering, inventory, and stocking. Notifies staff of supply/inventory shortages, helps rotate
- Attends required meetings and participates in committees as requested.
- Performs specimen culture set ups.
- Resolves complex issues as they arise.
- Initiates incident paperwork and contact the Safety and Health Officer (SHO) and supervisor for all lab accidents.
- Trains processing department on releasing, centrifugation, add-ons, sample pour off, and all other duties.
- Assists staff with computer issues.
- Documents and communicates all troubleshooting efforts.
- Assists with completion of Complaint Investigations.
- Meets with supervisor weekly and assist
- Assists Lab Service Coordinator with site issues.
- Completes all other duties as assigned.
QUALIFICATIONS:

Education, Licensures & Certifications
- Required: HS diploma or GED
- Required: 5 years laboratory experience
- Preferred: Associate in Science degree or Associate Applied Science degree
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities
- Knowledge of laboratory equipment for centrifuging, etc.
- Knowledge of medical terminology to communicate with the lab staff.
- Skill in keeping accurate records.
- Must have outstanding communication and customer service skills with the ability to interact with staff, providers, and patients; ability to stay calm, listen to others and respond professionally and with a positive attitude.
- Excellent attention to detail.
- Ability to read and understand oral and written instructions; as well as to follow written protocols.
- Ability to work independently and as a team member.
- Ability to be adaptable to a changing work environment.
- Strong documentation skills.
