About the Product Management Team (for Member Experiences)
The Member Product Management team at Copart is responsible for understanding the needs of the various customer segments, prioritizing improvements, and shaping new requirements to build better awareness, acquire, (re)activate, engage, and drive users to perform core actions on the auction platform using web and mobile experiences. The changes proposed needs to be backed up by qualitative or quantitative insights gathered from user testing, interviews, analytics, competitive research, behavioral research, UX research, etc.,
The team's initiatives typically revolve around building better awareness, improving membership conversion, nudging members to visit inventory matching to their needs, engaging with search/lot detail views, building trust through transparency, improving pre-bid and live-auction participation, winning, enabling good end-to-end customer experience, and thereby achieving good customer satisfaction.
About the Role
We expect the Product Manager to bring an entrepreneurial mindset with strong technical understanding, product sense, analytical ability, and clear communication skills. There is a huge opportunity to solve problems for our members and chase business outcomes as well.
Essential Duties:
- Passion for analyzing products, customer needs, and market dynamics
- Interest and skills in translating customer insights into actionable deliverables (one-pager business briefs and PRDs) for our engineering teams
- Possess good design sense, collaborate and iterative with design team efficiently
- Obsess over customer outcomes and business outcomes
- Passion for Customer Experience, User Experience, and have unique perspectives on brand interactions
- Min 3 years of experience as a Business Analyst, Product Owner, or Product Manager for Digital Products / Solutions
- Strong working knowledge and prior experience in prototype - build - measure - learn cycles
- Strong analytical thinking skills combined with competitive secondary research, writing PRDs, and creating business briefs
- Prior working experience in collaboration with UX and Engineering Teams
- Be able to commit to a full-time and in-person role for the most part in our Dallas office
- Familiarity with common user journeys and business analytics is recommended
- Demonstrated skills in being detail-oriented, organized, and exceptional communication and presentation skills
- Prior experience with Product Development, Consulting, Innovation, or related areas will be a plus
