The Copake Veterinary Hospital is continuing our search for a full-time, experienced veterinary receptionist. We love all the interest shown in this position; however, we do require at least 1 year of veterinary-related experience.
As a Veterinary Receptionist, your role is vital in creating a welcoming environment that promotes pet health and client satisfaction. You'll serve as the first point of contact for clients and their pets, ensuring smooth clinic operations, accurate record-keeping, and exceptional customer support.
Duties:
- Greet clients warmly and professionally, establishing a positive first impression for all visitors.
- Manage appointment scheduling efficiently, coordinating with veterinary staff to optimize daily operations.
- Handle medical billing and ensure the timely processing of payments
- Maintain detailed and organized patient records in compliance with privacy regulations and clinic standards.
- Communicate effectively with clients regarding pet care instructions, treatment plans, and follow-up appointments.
- Demonstrate proficiency in veterinary terminology to facilitate smooth clinic workflow.
Qualifications:
- Experience as a veterinary receptionist or a similar client-facing role within an animal healthcare setting.
- Strong knowledge of veterinary terminology
- Experience with medical collections, laboratory procedures, and kennel management is highly desirable, although not required.
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to explain complex information clearly to clients.
- Organizational skills to manage multiple tasks efficiently while maintaining attention to detail in record keeping.
Pay: $18.00 - $21.00 per hour
