Pay Range: $20.00 – $22.00 per hour, DOE

• DBT Certified? Receive an additional 3% pay increase!
• Not Certified Yet? Copa Health provides full DBT training—earn your 3% increase upon certification.

• Evening (3 PM – 11 PM): $1.00/hr
• Overnight (11 PM – 7 AM): $1.50/hr
• Weekend (Sat & Sun): $0.50/hr

About The Role

The Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT) Coach plays a vital role in supporting youth within a residential treatment setting. You’ll work with individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities, behavioral health needs, and medical complexities—providing therapeutic guidance, stabilization, and DBT skills support in a trauma-informed environment.

This role collaborates closely with clinical teams to reinforce DBT principles, promote emotional regulation, and maintain a safe, structured, and recovery-oriented atmosphere.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities

• Deliver 24/7 integrated care, supervision, and DBT-aligned support
• Coach and model DBT skills, including mindfulness, distress tolerance, emotion regulation, and interpersonal effectiveness
• Assist in developing and implementing individualized treatment plans
• Respond to crises using DBT-informed de-escalation strategies
• Facilitate structured DBT groups focused on emotional regulation, communication, social skills, and independent living
• Support family engagement through communication, therapy sessions, and skill-building workshops
• Monitor member activities and behaviors to ensure safety and therapeutic consistency
• Assist with personal care, medication self-administration, academic/vocational tasks, and community integration
• Safely transport members to and from appointments and activities
• Support meal planning and preparation to meet nutritional and dietary needs
• Document accurate clinical information and submit billing aligned with program and BHT requirements
• Participate in treatment team meetings, trainings, and program development
• Report incidents, infections, infestations, or accidents according to agency protocol
• Adhere to all agency policies, licensure requirements, and training standards
• Perform additional duties as needed to support program success
