Experience/Education: Bachelor’s in Engineering or Construction Management OR 10 years supervisory experience, Expertise in Process Piping (ASME B31.3) and Structural Welding (AWS D1.1), 5 years working in active refinery or petrochemical facilities, Strong project management and estimating skills
About The Position:
The Mechanical & Process Piping Lead manages industrial construction projects from bid to completion. This hybrid role combines project management, estimating, and field execution. You will lead project teams, ensure compliance with safety standards, and uphold welding codes (ASME & AWS) in refinery and industrial environments.

About The Position:
The Mechanical & Process Piping Lead manages industrial construction projects from bid to completion. This hybrid role combines project management, estimating, and field execution. You will lead project teams, ensure compliance with safety standards, and uphold welding codes (ASME & AWS) in refinery and industrial environments.
Responsibilities
Safety & Complaince
- Enforce company and client safety rules
- Lead hazard analysis, permit processes, and Lock-Out/Tag-Out procedures
- Oversee incident reporting and root-cause analysis
- Review project documents and attend pre-construction meetings
- Prepare bids, estimates, and detailed work plans from P&IDs, ISOs & 3D Models
- Manage welding procedures and material traceability
- Coordinate purchasing, scheduling, and subcontract agreements
- Assemble and manage project teams
- Lead & Execute weld progress, quality control and testing
- Maintain and keep current all construction documents (RFIs, submittals, change orders, timecards)
- Manage subcontractors and maintain accurate project records
- Complete project closeout and turnover documentation (weld logs, NDE reports, and as-builts)
- Track performance metrics and historical data
- Ensure accurate billing and final audits
- Expert knowledge of ASME B31.3 and AWS D1.1
- Proficient in Microsoft Office and adaptable to new software
- Ability to travel to remote sites
- Valid driver’s license and clean driving record
- Must pass pre-employment drug and alcohol screening
- Work primarily on construction sites with exposure to outdoor weather and varying conditions
- May encounter extreme temperatures, heights, moving parts, fumes, electrical hazards, and moderate to high noise levels
