The Coosa County Administrator serves as the chief financial and administrative officer under the direct oversight of the Coosa County Commission.
Key Responsibilities
- Financial Management & Accounting: Exercises full central accounting authority. This includes managing general and subsidiary ledgers, processing all revenue receipts, disbursements, expenditures, and bank statement reconciliations.
- Budgeting & Compliance: Coordinates with department heads and commissioners to build and monitor the county budget. Maintains complete tracking of legal claims filed against the county.
- Commission Liaison: Prepares and submits official financial statements, revenue reports, and debt disclosures to administrative officials, the Commission, and the general public. Processes and presents all claims and funding demands directly to the County Commission for board approval.
- Operational Leadership: Manages the central office computer accounting systems, county records, and exercises supervisory oversight of the Commission staff.
