What are the responsibilities and job description for the Dietary Aide position at Coos County, NH?
Hours - 33 hours per week - Hours vary, but usually afternoons during the week and 6:30 am to 2:30 pm on weekends.
The position requires every other weekend and some holidays.
Pay Range - $16.39 - $17.91
Job Summary
Performs routine duties in the preparation and service of food for residents according to established policies and procedures
Responsibilities
- Assembles cold food according to production sheet for breakfast.
- Assembles sandwiches and salads and portions out desserts for resident trays for lunch.
- Preps next day’s breakfast according to production sheet.
- Assumes the middle position in the food service line during breakfast.
- Gets carts from floors and delivers them to dish room.
- Knows diet restrictions and checks resident’s trays to verify contents with diet orders.
- Cleans food carts according to procedures after breakfast.
- Wraps silverware after it’s cleaned following breakfast service.
- Serve drinks upstairs according to drink list and ordered supplements.
- Checks clipboard daily for changes to drink service.
- Breaks down drink carts.
- Performs daily cleaning assignments.
- Assists cook in the preparation and service of food to residents.
- Assembles tally for third floor decentralized dining service.
- Assists in the duties of the dishwasher and may be called upon to perform the dishwasher routine if schedule warrants it.
- Cleans food service carts after they are emptied from dish room after lunch.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
- Help with pots and pans throughout the day.
Qualifications: Mental development and maturity normally attained through the completion of two (2) years of high school. Ability to read, write in English and follow oral direction. Good moral character, good physical condition, high degree of personal cleanliness and hygiene. Willingness to cooperate with supervisor, fellow employees and department heads. Institutional food service experience desirable but not necessary
Pay: $16.39 - $17.91 per hour
