What are the responsibilities and job description for the CMA Prescription Refill Specialist position at Coos County Family Health Services?
Coos County Family Health Services is seeking a Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) to join our team as a Full-Time Prescription Refill Specialist.
This is a 40-hour per week position, eligible for full-time benefits. A remote work option may be available.
Primary Duties:
- Refill patient prescription request in the matched renewal, prescription line, patient portal, and faxed requests per Prescription Refill Policy/Procedure, within the allotted timeframe of 72 business hours.
- Work closely with ordering providers to maintain safe and effective refill processes.
- Work closely with reception to ensure patients are being scheduled for follow up medication check appointments.
- Assist the nurses and CMA’s in completing prior authorizations as time allows.
- Communicate with pharmacies as needed for clarification on medication refill requests.
Qualifications:
Successful candidate must have an active certification as a medical assistant.
