Job Title: HS Dance Team Coach- Marshfield High School Upbeats

Position Description

Extra Duty Contract – HS Dance Team

Qualifications

• • Valid First Aid card
  • Experience as a dance coach at the high school level, preferred
  • Ability to work successfully with students, parents, staff and public
  • Must possess effective coaching techniques and skills

RESPONSIBILITIES include but are not limited to:

• • Works with team members during practices and meets.
  • Holds organizational meetings for team prospects and encourages students to participate.
  • Develops a regular practice schedule and organizes practice time to provide both individual and team development.
  • Works with athletic director(s) in scheduling facilities for practices and competition.
  • Coaches and instructs dancers, individually or in groups, regarding the rules, regulations, equipment and techniques of the sport.
  • Observes dancers, during events and practice to determine the needs for individual or team improvement.
  • Establishes and maintains standards of pupil behavior and provides proper supervision of students at all times.
  • Monitors the academic performance of team members to ensure that eligibility requirements are met.
  • Follows established procedures in the event of an injury.
  • Models sport-like behavior and maintains appropriate conduct towards dancers, officials and spectators.
  • Participates in special activities to include Pirate Nights, banquets, award nights and pep assemblies.

Salary Range: $,2896-$6,372 depending on candidate's experience
