Medical Receptionist

Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Medical Assistant/Receptionist to join our healthcare team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in medical administrative support, patient care, and clinical procedures within diverse medical settings. This role requires excellent communication skills, proficiency with Electronic Health Record (EHR) systems, and a thorough understanding of medical terminology and physiology. The Medical Assistant/Receptionist will serve as the first point of contact for patients, ensuring a smooth and welcoming experience while supporting clinical staff with essential medical tasks.

Duties

• Greet patients warmly, verify insurance information, and assist with patient intake processes to ensure accurate documentation.
• Measure vital signs such as blood pressure, pulse, respiration, and temperature, documenting findings accurately in EHR systems.
• Support physicians and nurses with patient care activities in outpatient clinics.
• Maintain organized patient records, update medical histories, and ensure compliance with HIPAA regulations.
• Manage appointment scheduling, patient check-in/out processes, and handle administrative correspondence efficiently.
• Assist with ICD coding for diagnoses to facilitate billing processes and ensure accurate documentation of patient encounters.
• Prepare examination rooms by ensuring cleanliness and proper sterilization of equipment in accordance with safety standards.
