Responsibilities for Internal Candidates

Essential Functions & Responsibilities:
- Perform cleaning protocols of PCR rooms or any other specific lab area
- Assemble collection kits
- Register temperatures of freezers/fridges
- Place orders for general lab supplies
- Store general lab supplies
- Accession samples using a laboratory information management system
- Witness lab procedures
- Store samples post-analysis
- Pack media records for outside storage
- Locate and retrieve stored samples for re-testing
Qualifications & Requirements:
Education & Training:
- Bachelor's degree in the sciences preferred
- Knowledge of the proper use and maintenance of laboratory equipment
- Ability to communicate and collaborate with other professionals within the company and clients, as needed
- Ability to understand and apply Safety Standards and Good Lab Practices
- Working knowledge using Microsoft Office suite of applications
- Good oral and written communication skills
- Frequent reaching, grasping, repetitive motions and eye/hand coordination. Ability to work in environmental conditions typical in office and/or laboratory environments.
- Passing of background check which may include verification of prior employment, criminal conviction history, educational and driving record.
