Overview
We are seeking a dynamic and results-driven Sales Representative to join our team. This role offers an exciting opportunity to engage in outside sales, manage key accounts, and develop new business within a competitive market. The ideal candidate will possess strong skills in business development, territory management, and customer relationship management (CRM) software, with a focus on Trade Relationships and B2B sales. This position is integral to expanding our market presence and building long-term client partnerships.
Duties
- Drive outside sales efforts by identifying and pursuing new business opportunities through lead generation and cold calling in Upstate New York with a focus on the Capital Region, Mohawk Valley, Central New York, and Western New York
- Manage existing accounts to ensure customer satisfaction, retention, and growth through effective account management strategies
- Conduct product demos and presentations to prospective clients, highlighting features and benefits tailored to their needs
- Develop and execute territory management plans to maximize sales coverage and market penetration
- Engage in direct sales activities including negotiations, upselling, and closing deals with clients across Off-Premise and On-Premise Accounts
- Utilize CRM software for tracking leads, managing customer data, and analyzing sales performance
- Maintain a thorough understanding of our products, industry trends, and competitor activities to inform sales strategies
- Provide exceptional customer service by addressing client inquiries promptly and professionally
- Build relationships with Distributor Partners through work-withs, sales meetings and training
Qualifications
- Must have a valid driver's license and fully operational vehicle
- Proven experience in outside sales, B2B sales, or territory management with a track record of meeting or exceeding targets
- Strong skills in negotiation, lead generation, and account management
- Familiarity with CRM software for managing customer relationships
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to deliver compelling product demos and presentations
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision while maintaining a team-oriented approach
- Knowledge of marketing strategies related to sales growth and business development is a plus
- Experience in technical sales or technology-related industries is preferred but not required
- Strong analysis skills for assessing market opportunities and developing strategic plans
- Customer service orientation with a focus on building long-term client relationships
