Beach Shack Manager (Seasonal)
Compensation: $1,600 per week plus percentage of profit bonus at the end of the season.
Hours: Weekends required, holidays required, Operating hours: 7am-7pm daily, on concert nights till 9pm. Post Season, there is potential to join Shippy’s.
Coopers Beach Shack is located at Coopers Beach in Southampton which is voted as the number one beach in America. Coopers Beach Shack has an integrated relationship with Shippy’s Restaurant, one of the most iconic restaurants on Long Island.
Position Purpose: The seasonal manager will be in command of overall operations in support of the restaurant operator. They will oversee scheduling, ordering, day to day management, guest experience, sales, cash handling. There are also commissary responsibilities with Shippy’s Restaurant located down the road in Southampton village.
Key Responsibilities / Accountabilities:
- Facilitate coaching, counseling, training opportunities and disciplinary discussions to employees.
- Interview, assess and select employees for employment with restaurant operators.
- Direct daily operations with all scheduled staff such as positions, opening, closing, and side work.
- Monitor, manage, and report discrepancies with registers between shifts.
- Responsible for overall training and management of staff.
- Monitor what works and doesn’t work and communicate your observations with restaurant operators.
- Assist with training of all new hired and existing staff and training materials generation.
- Responsible for ordering all inventory with the Kitchen Manager.
- Assist with entertainment execution.
Service:
- Communicate all guest related issues or requests to the appropriate service staff and culinary team and guide them towards succession.
- Support staff with tasks.
- Personalize service by leading by example and checking on guest satisfaction by speaking with guests.
Minimal Essential Requirements:
- Ability to work as part of a team.
- Food handling, preparation, and cleaning skills.
- Food handlers certification required, if you do not have one, training will be provided.
- Active listening and learning skills.
- Fast casual, McDonald’s (If you have experience at McDonald’s, that is a plus!)
Pay: From $1,600.00 per week
