The technologist will ensure accuracy in monitoring, hemodynamic measurements, and patient safety while maintaining a sterile field and adhering to hospital and regulatory standards. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, technically skilled, and committed to providing exceptional cardiovascular care.
Job Responsibilities
- Scrub and assist interventional physicians during diagnostic and therapeutic cardiac and vascular procedures.
- Prepare and maintain sterile fields, instruments, and contrast materials according to hospital protocol.
- Administer contrast media following age- and weight-specific guidelines.
- Monitor and record hemodynamic data, valve area readings, and other procedural metrics.
- Start and maintain IV access; document procedure details accurately in Meditech and PACS.
- Handle and dispose of radioactive materials per safety and regulatory requirements.
- Participate in on-call rotation (8-10 call days per month) and respond promptly to emergent procedures.
- Maintain thorough knowledge of drugs used during procedures, including actions and contraindications.
Education & Certification
- Registered Cardiovascular Invasive Specialist (RCIS) or Registered Cardiac Electrophysiology Specialist (RCES) certification (or eligible within 1 year)
- OR ARRT certification as a Registered Radiologic Technologist [RT(R)]
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required
- Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) required within 6 months of hire
- Minimum of 1 year of experience in Special Procedures, Cath Lab, or Electrophysiology preferred
- Strong technical proficiency in cardiovascular procedures and imaging systems
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills
- Knowledge of sterile technique, hemodynamics, and regulatory compliance

Salary : $60,000 - $86,000
