What are the responsibilities and job description for the Residential Support - New Bedford Area position at Cooperative Production Inc?

As a Direct Support Staff member, you'll help adults with intellectual and/or physical disabilities build skills, become more independent, participate in their communities, and work toward goals that matter to them.
Your day may include helping someone learn a new skill, providing support with daily routines and communication, joining them for community activities, and administering medications. You'll get to know each person's strengths, preferences, and support needs so you can help them succeed in ways that work for them.
Previous experience is welcome, but we're just as interested in people who are dependable, patient, willing to learn, and have the heart for this work. Paid training is provided, including MAP training if you're not already certified.
Requirements:
- Valid driver's license with three years of driving experience and a good driving record
- Ability to pass required CORI and fingerprinting checks
- MAP certification within three months of training. Higher pay rate based on MAP certification. Training is provided
