Firehouse Ministries is Birmingham's largest homeless services organization — open 24/7, 365 days a year. We're looking for a compassionate, driven social worker to join our housing team and walk alongside chronically homeless men with mental illness or physical disability as they build stable lives.
✅ What you'll do:
Provide housing-focused case management across 12 scattered-site units, coordinate wrap-around services, assist with benefits access (SOAR, SNAP, disability), conduct biopsychosocial assessments, and maintain HMIS documentation.
✅ What we're looking for:
Bachelor's in Social Work or related field (MSW preferred) · 1 year in social services or housing · experience with vulnerable populations · valid driver's license · HMIS experience a plus
Reports to: Director of Housing | Compensation: $37,000 - $47,000 - Based on experience
