Short Description
- Interviews and screen patients prior to MRI procedures to ensure there are no safety concerns/contraindication.
- Performs MRI procedures following the protocols established by the Radiologists.
- Begins studies, transfers images, documents patient history, and completes studies in EPIC / EMR and PACS system
Experience Required
- Canon MRI experience preferred but not necessary.
- Able to correctly apply MRI compatible monitoring system/IV infusion pump to patients when necessary.
- Excellent organizational skills and communication skills are needed to effectively orchestrate the daily workflow of patients.
- Highly developed customer service skills are required.
- The ability to work well as part of a team.
Education Requirements
- A high school diploma or GED equivalency is required
- Graduate of AMA Approved RT Program
License/Certification Requirements
- Current ARRT License (American Registry of Radiologic Technologists);
- Magnetic Resonance Imaging certification preferred
- BLS/CPR preferred, required after 6 months' employment
Special Requirements
- Rotating holiday shifts per year required
